A heartfelt thank you goes out to Heart of England Community Foundation and Surviving Winter fun for awarding us just under £2000 to purchase 2 new Indoor Bowling mats.


Many Thanks to all who helped us collect tokens for this years Telegraph Wishes Campaign. We received a cheque for £285.

We would love to dedicate a portion of our garden space to building a Memorial Garden. In memory of people who have helped make the Bell Green Community Centre the thriving, busy, joyful place is it today. We would put the money from WISH 2012 to support this project. of Bell Green will be learning, taking part in activities and socialising in a
new modern environment soon as the Bell Green Community Association has been
awarded £110,000 to make much needed improvements to the Bell Green Community Centre.


The grants were given by two separate awarding bodies – Sport England which awarded
£50,000 and WREN, a not for profit waste recycling company, - which gave £60,000.


Councillor Ed Ruane, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Neighbourhood Action said:


is fantastic news. Community Centres are the hub of communities, being a
central point where residents can gather and get involved with what is
happening in their neighbourhoods. It's great that the residents of Bell Green
will now be able to take advantage of a new improved centre and I look forward
to visiting the centre when it is completed."

A huge thank you to the Police Property Fund for awarding the Community Centre £500 to buy a Table Tennis Table and some equipment for the Keep Fit group.


Well done to our vicechairperson Ann Melia for being nominated for the Local Hero Award at the Pride of Coventry and Warwickshire Community Awards. We'll find out on 16th March how shes done at the awards ceremony, Good Luck Ann!
